AS1851 - What's likely to change, and what should be webinar
AS 1851 is the most commonly used standard in the fire protection industry.
It covers the routine servicing of fire protection systems and equipment and is mandatory in many states and territories, with NSW on the verge of making it a requirement in that state.
However, having been published in 2012 and amended in 2016, it’s now 11 years old and due for an update.
Over the last 12 months, FPA Australia has been collating information about possible issues with the standard and where improvements are needed, and this information will be shared with Standards Committee FP-001 during the upcoming review.
But there is still time to contribute your issues or concerns.
In this webinar, FPA Australia’s representative on FP-001 – John Lynch – will discuss what’s on the cards for the standard and how the Association will approach amending it.
He is keen to get your input and will advise attendees about how they can do this.
If you use AS 1851 and wish to join the conversation, this webinar is for you.
